We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager (PM) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of multiple customer projects, leveraging our internal software and ML/AI stack.
This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, deep understanding of software and ML development processes and a desire to work with a highly technical team of both software and hardware engineers. This role will report to Monumo’s Head of Hardware Development who is based in our Coventry office. We work in a hybrid environment, with 3 days a week in the office, and we would expect this role to spend time in both our offices (Cambridge is our other office), to best work with all of our development teams.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Coordination: Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple customer projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our customers (internal and external), understanding their needs, and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Feature Development Coordination: Collaborate with the software/ML development team to prioritise and coordinate the development of new features required for customer projects.
• Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project (internal and external) milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and are delivered to the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Your application will stand out if you have:
• Education: A bachelor's degree in a STEM subject is strongly preferred. A master's degree or relevant PM certification would be a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably within a deep-tech or software/ML-focused environment delivering customer projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes, including agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban). Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Git, MS Project). Specific experience of running a hybrid agile-waterfall methodology is advantageous. Understanding simulation software stack, especially engineering simulation would be a plus.
• Product development: The ability to participate and help with product management. Work alongside technical and commercial teams on market and customer research to help guid product development roadmaps.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Focus on soft leadership skills is a must.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions. Ability to effectively handle prioritisation challenges.
• Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
