About the job (Project focused)

Core Purpose: Using highly relational interpersonal skills, the RC will use an Integrated or Person-Centred approach to work with young people and teaching staff facing a wide range of issues for as long as is needed and support them in growing resilience, enabling them to bring about effective change and/or enhance their own wellbeing This role in NESSSS offers the opportunity to provide counselling support for young people and teaching staff who are referred by the school, working within the BACP ethical framework. The east to west Trust is an Organisational Member of the BACP Key Responsibilities – Project focused: -Provide Counselling for young people and Teaching Staff who are referred via the school through 1:1 (and Support Group settings if appropriate), within agreed caseload limits -Effectively support and work within the pastoral systems of the school -Encourage, and where appropriate, facilitate the work of external organisations affiliated to east to west working in the school -Support and liaise with all partners -Obtain ongoing supervision, training and development both personally and for the role -Development Goals will be agreed annually and monitored / amended in response to current needs on a termly basis through the development process of east to west -Statistical information will be supplied to east to west on a weekly basis in accordance with measures in force at the time -Regular progress and delivery reports to east to west and school

Occupational Requirement

It is required for the purposes of this role that the team member is in sympathy with the Christian Ethos of the east to west trust and is comfortable working in a Christian Environment Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
